Start with live status, then the common fixes below. If none of them solve it, contact details are at the bottom.
First stop: status.rivenai.io — if a service is degraded, it will show there before anything else.
Sign-in loops or bounces#
Refresh once, then clear cookies for rivenai.io and sign in again from rivenai.io/sign-in. Third-party cookie blockers can interfere with the sign-in redirect — allow rivenai.io and auth.rivenai.io.
API errors#
| Symptom | Likely cause and fix |
|---|---|
401 | Missing, revoked, or rotated key. Mint or rotate a key per Authentication and retry with the new value. |
403 “not available on tier” | The model is gated above your plan. Check Models & usage or upgrade — see Billing & plans. |
429 | Rate limit reached. Back off and retry; guest keys have a daily request cap — sign in for higher limits. |
502 on key mint | Transient — key provisioning occasionally returns 502 under load. Retrying shortly succeeds. |
Other 5xx | Retry with backoff and check status. Full codes: error reference. |
Chat answers missing citations or search#
Not every question triggers web search — asking for “current” or “latest” information does. If a grounded answer still fails, retry once; persistent failure is worth reporting.
